Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here. This blog and forum exist to serve as a sounding board and resource for folks who are concerned about their mental health and well-being. While I hold a Master of Social Work, I am not a licensed mental health practitioner in any state or jurisdiction. Rather, I’m coming at you all in this blog from the vantage point of a person who has struggled with mental health issues for a large portion of life. I hope to combine my knowledge of the human condition as taught to me in graduate school, along with my first hand experiences with mental illness, to bring you well-written and informative articles that are both relatable and informative.
As I said, I am not a licensed mental health practitioner. If you are feeling suicidal, please don’t act on your impulses and instead call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on 1-800-273-8255. Help is available 24/7.
Now that we have that bit of housekeeping out of the way, I’d also like to mention that this blog and forum are pet projects of mine. I am very new to web development and especially SEO. From my experience thus far, writing is the easy part. You may notice changes in how the site is laid out, and you may also be joining the party late, because it may take me a while to figure out the SEO aspects of the site so it can be found in search engines.
